CHALET DETAILS
Yet to be finalisedChalet Details Any injures such as falls and scratches should not be blamed on anyone but yourself so please do take care. Please do take note of what to wear and bring so as to ensure maximum potential of fun. I cannot be responsible of your safety so I do understand your parent’s worry. Try to convince them that we will not be swimming and doing anything that may be dangerous. Date: 15th June '09 to 18th June '09 Time: 15th June, 4pm all the way till 18th June, 10am (Leaving early should be a-okay, and if you want to leave at night before returning the next morning, it is also fine. But of course, we would prefer it if you all stay as long as you can. But if your parents do not permit, don’t force it, because we won’t like you to get a scolding unnecessarily.) Venue: PA Pasir Ris 2-Room Flats, Unit #03-10 (please do note that we should be meeting at a MRT station and going there as one whole flock, so do not worry if you don’t know where is the location :D) Things to bring: IMPORTANT, do follow. 1. Money (the most important) Around $60 should be needed, estimated for recreational activities (movies, trips, shopping, whatever) and food for 3 days. It may not be accurate as we cannot confirm certain things so we will update it whenever we have a new activity in mind.. yup. Please try to scrimp and save to meet that amount now okay. To those platoonmates with a budget of $20, I’m so sorry to say we are unable to meet that because we have a chalet of 4d3n and we need to eat + play AND PLAY AND PLAY. So $20 is really not enough. ;X 2. Ez-link card with a minimum top-up value of $15 (don’t lose it!) We’ll be running around all over the place so we don’t want to encounter troubles and having to borrow 5cents from one another and having a lack of money for other activities, so do try to top-up your ez-link before this. 3. Sleeping bag (optional) I wanted to put this as optional, and let you all sleep on the floor, but WongWaiYuin says that the floor is dirty, so people do bring your sleeping bags. And I don’t know why this sounds so much like March Camp. And you can choose not to bring also, if you don't mind sleeping on the floor (like me). Aiya I put as optional la! 4. 3 sets of clothes + 2 towels? You come to the chalet bringing with you 3 sets of clothes (excluding the one that you are wearing for that day). That is, if you are staying for 4days and 3nights. Adjust the sets of clothes you bring according to the nights you are staying. Casual wear is fine (home clothes). And and remember your towels unless you want to use toilet paper to wipe yourself. 5. Toiletries Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, conditioners and whatever are all included. Settle them all yourself, according to what you prefer and whatever. You can choose to share one big bottle of shampoo or whatever with your platoonmates of course, but if you want to have your own toiletries, bring it yourself, and make sure you don’t lose it. 6. YOUR OWN FOOD In case you haven’t known, we should be having a BBQ on the 2nd night, and we may not have enough food because as you all know, guys are all gluttons. Thus, we urge you to bring some of your own food (eg. Marshmallows, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, prawns or some of your own specialties) Also, if you wake up in the middle of the night being hungry and you are lazy to get out of the chalet alone to go somewhere to eat, do bring your own instant noodles and cup noodles :} Tidbits (potato chips) and some white bread is also fine for breakfast if you want. 7. Handphone + charger I am not sure if your handphone (if you are bringing) can last for 4 days straight, so do bring a charger. You all can share chargers under the same provider. Like for example you are using Sony Ericsson, and another person is also using Sony Ericsson, then you can share chargers. For me, I should be bringing a LG charger, so everyone with LG phones, FEEL FREE TO USE MINE; D Although I doubt there’s anyone in Alpha that uses LG. Right? LOL!!! One whole charger to myself :} and please do take care of your own valuables, I won’t be responsible if it goes missing or whatever. The whole company won’t be helping you look for it if you lose it either :D So do take care of your own belongings! 8. Water bottle Of course you need water to last you throughout the whole chalet. We cannot guarantee you that there will be water available in any convenience stores nearby or whatever, so do bring your own water bottle :} Do note that Singapore’s tap water is clean, so you can refill it at any tap if you run out of water. 9. Things for self-entertainment (optional) Like maybe your PSP, your DS, your iPod, your mp3, your iTouch, your camera. Whatever sia. If you want to bring any valuables, bring it at your own risk. Yours truly as well as others will not be helping you find your stuff if you lose it, once again :D I don’t really sarpork this idea but WongWaiYuin suggests it so yup… blame him if you lose anything. Also a camera for taking pictures, but if you are afraid of losing it, please do not bring as I cannot ensure the security of those valuables you are bringing. 10. Umbrella If it rains, we don’t like to get a free shower in acid, so do bring an umbrella if you do not want to get too wet. 11. Plastic bags It can serve as something to put your dirty clothes in, to put your wet umbrella in, or to serve as a puke bag. Multi-purpose bag, so please do try to bring a few. It is quite weightless and it won’t weigh you down too much so please try to bring. 12. Sunblock (optional) That is, if you don’t want to get burnt too badly and look like a red tomato when going home. If you are already used to it because of NCC, good for you. If you apply sunblock every activity, then please do bring, because I cannot ensure that the sky will be clear and blue in all the 3/4 days. The activities for the whole chalet shall be kept secret to the organisers :} We don’t want to spoil the fun… so anticipate in excitement! What we can say is that, we will try to make this chalet an unforgettable one for all of you. :D Try not to bring: 1. Expensive watches, jewellery and etc. If you have too much money to spare and you would like to lose them all, no problem. But if it’s heartwrenching to have them disappear, please do not bring because we don’t know if the guys are cats or dogs that will just scratch everything out of you. 2. Homework You are supposed to have fun at the chalet so please don’t bring your homework, act like a nerd and spoil everyone’s fun. Settle your homework either before or after the chalet. What to wear: For girls: NO STRAPLESS please unless you want to keep pulling it up and zhaogeng. There are also guys around so you don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of them. Sleeveless should be fine. NO SKIRTS, no matter short or long or whatever. We don’t like anything molesting us.. right? And we also don’t want to zhao geng so yup, please try to wear shorts and pants or whatever as long as it is not a skirt. NO DRESSES ALSO HOR. But if you really want to wear skirt or you have no pants at home, please wear shorts below to protect yourself larh okay? And please try not to wear white tops, because when you perspire a lot then… >_> I don’t feel like elaborating but everyone should get what I mean. Preferably dark coloured attire. For guys: Once again, don’t wear skirts and dresses. And er, try not to wear white pants. You all should get what I mean la. And if you don’t get what I mean, you can ask Wong Wai Yuin, because he suggested this. : P For both genders: Slippers + shoes. Shoes for some indoor activity, and slippers for walking around in the chalet. Nothing else, I think. Let’s try to make this a memorable, fun and safe one.
